Bahlul of Shirvan

Sheikh Bahlul Darbandi — was a member of House of Shirvanshah, ruling dynasty of Shirvan. He was a grandson of Shirvanshah Keykubad I, brother of Shirvanshah Ibrahim and cousin of Shirvanshah Kavus.
==Life==
Exact date of his birth is not known. He spent his childhood with his brother and father in one of villages of Shaki, in hiding.〔V.F.Minorsky, A History of Shrvan and Darband,1963,p.170-171〕 He was appointed as chief commander of Shirvan army sometime while reign of his brother Shirvanshah Ibrahim. He commanded main force of Shirvanese army during Battle of Chalagan and imprisoned as a result of defeat in 1412. He was freed on expense of a noble from Tabriz - Sheikh Ahi Gassab in exchange of 200 Iranian toman. His exact date of death is not known. His was succeed by his son Tahmuras of Shirvan to the post of Chief Commander.
